Normally English speakers visitors, that come to Valdeorras area, are knowledgeable in wines and visit our land looking for knowing our wines more and better. Above all they are interested in visit vineyards and taste wines with the winemakers. A lot of them are surprised with all they discover because the visit exceed they information that have before the travel (they always look for information before). In this visit with Adam Vandoski and Phil Daniels from Vinesocietyindy (Indianapolis-USA) they fulfilled all our expectations about they were people well documented and with a lot of desires of improving their knowledge. We want to believe that they extracted all the juice to their one day visit discovering wines and wineyards from José Aristegui, La Perdida and Viña Somoza.
La primera parada fue en la bodega de José Aristegui. Un viticultor "filósofo de las viñas" que disfruta al máximo con su cuidado y elaborando los vinos. La primera parte de la visita fue en las viñas explicando terrenos, tipo de viñedos y viendo el paisaje de montaña con el rio Sil al fondo.
First stop was in Jose Aristegui´s winery. One wine grower “a vineyards´ philosopher” that enjoy taking care they vineyards and making their wines. First part of the visit was in vineyards talking about soils, tipe of vineyards, varieties and seeing the mountain landscape with Sil river at the bottom.

The journey continued in Larouco council for knowing how Nacho González make his wines natural with the Brand “La perdida”. Their old vineyards that he is recovering was the center of attention for the visitors and the way he make the wines in big clay vassels too.
During the meal with the wine grower they tasted his wines and a sparkling wine make with an Ancient Method. Everything was a discover and with a very good atmosphere.

The day through Valdeorras land came to an end in the Viña Somoza winery. But the end of the party was spectacular when visiting the vineyards between the area of Larouco and O Bolo. A captivating landscape among mountains that leaves the breathless who knows it. Phil and Adam strolled through old vines dyed the color of autumn. Then we went to the winery in A Rúa to taste several elaborations.
